Local church leadership series

Every United Methodist charge is required by the Book of Discipline to people to specific leadership positions within the church. These positions include a lay leader, treasurer, financial secretary, and pastor/staff parish relations committee chairperson. These local church leaders ensure congregational input, accountability, and support for the church's vital ministries and programs. As United Methodists we believe strongly in the importance of lay leadership across the denomination and principles of Christian accountability at all levels of ministry.
