The General Commission on the Status and Role of Women advocates for full participation of women in the total life of The United Methodist Church. We’re helping the church recognize every person – clergy and lay, women and men, adults and children - as full and equal parts of God’s human family. We believe that a fully engaged and empowered membership is vital to The United Methodist Church’s mission "to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world."

Imagine the private conversations you have with your friends have gone public. Are you comfortable with the entire world seeing the things you have written? There is power in the words that you write, that you speak, and that you think. There is more power in those that are done so publicly. Our ability to harness the power of words stems from the ways that we have learned to use them.
GCSRW announces three new members have joined its Board of Directors: Rev. Dr. Van A. Stinson (Louisiana), Rev. Myriam Cortes (Tennessee-Western Kentucky), and Rev. Hyewon Sophia Hyon (Northern Illinois).
My favorite weekend of the year is Memorial Day weekend because I know I will find myself in Copan, OK. My family has made camp at the annual Delaware Lenape Powwow since I was a girl.
