Heritage Sunday, celebrated the third Sunday of May, is a time for United Methodists to reflect on their legacy and consider their own place in the story of The United Methodist Church.

"Methodists are a connectional people. Our ministries center on relationship, fellowship and mission within our communities,” says Dr. Ashley Boggan D., GCAH general secretary. "As we honor local churches, it is important to remember that the story of a local church is never limited to its building. “Our stories live on through the people who worship with us, who sing with us, who do mission with us,”
