00:08: Canva offers free accounts to eligible nonprofits, including churches. Visit Canva.com/nonprofits

00:17: A nonprofit account has robust features, including access to premium images, videos,
00:22: and music;
00:24: loading your own brand kit with color palettes, logo and fonts; and sharing designs
00:29: with a team of up to 50 members, among other features.
00:34: You will need to have your church's proof of tax-exempt status, called an EIN.
00:40: Ask your treasurer for that number.
00:43: Once you've set up your account, log in to the Canva platform. You will see
00:47: something that looks like this.
00:50: The main Canva menu is located on the left side of your screen.
00:54: Near the top is the Home button.
00:57: Below Home is the Projects tab.
00:59: This is where you will find all the projects you have created.
01:02: You can always go back here to edit, duplicate or reuse a previous project.
01:08: Below Projects tab is the Templates tab.
01:12: Canva has millions of predesigned templates that you can use and customize.
01:17: Click on Templates to explore.
01:20: Here you can see some of the template categories available in Canva. You
01:23: can search at the top for a specific type of project.
01:28: For example, if you type "church" into the search bar, you will see a drop-down list
01:33: of possible projects and templates

01:37: Canva gives you a head start on design with prebuilt templates, such as the ones seen
01:42: here for a church flyer. But you can also create your own design from scratch.
01:47: To do that, click on the purple button at the top left of your Home screen that says

02:11: you will see the Brand tab.
02:13: This area allows you to upload your logo, fonts, brand colors, special icons, and any
02:19: other graphical elements associated with your organization.
02:22: This helps your designs stay consistent and on-brand.
02:27: The design possibilities with Canva are endless, and the best way to learn is to get
02:32: in there and create a few designs.
02:34: You can't mess up, and you'll only get better with time!
