In January 2018, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced a refocused vision for the social media giant, writing, "One of our big focus areas for 2018 is making sure the time we all spend on Facebook is time well spent."
The practical changes Facebook is implementing to work toward this vision will have a big impact on those of us who do ministry on the platform. So, in this episode of the MyCom Church Marketing Podcast, we will walk you through what's changing and offer some ideas about how to adapt.

Darby's note
In this episode, I made a comment about Facebook "causing" ADHD. I'll take the heat for that. It was said flippantly, so I apologize for not putting more thought behind it. I am interested in epigenetics and the possibility of our environment turning on/off certain genes that can change our inherited behavior, but ADHD is a medical condition. I don't know how much of it is affected by the environment or how much is established at birth, but if I could explain it more in the podcast, I would say that constant video and media and distractions cause addiction rather than ADHD. The need for constant entertainment causes symptoms that mirror ADHD symptoms. I recognize that to conflate the two is a problem. Media may exacerbate an issue that was already there but not cause it. We probably need much more time and research to know how it's all related. I just wanted to clarify that. Peace.
