Review of Bishop's Decision of Law in the Northern Illinois Annual Conference Related to the Eligibility of a Clergy Member to Be a Delegate to the 2000 General Conference When That Clergy Member's Suspension Following a Trial Is to Begin on July 1, 1999.

Digest

The Judicial Council does not have jurisdiction to review this decision. Par. 2613 clearly states that a request for a bishop's decision of law shall be "submitted to them in writing in the regular business of a session." In this case there was no written request; therefore, the ruling of Bishop C Joseph Sprague is void and of no effect.
