The General Commission on the Status and Role of Women (GCSRW) remains committed to advancing the full and equal participation of women—both laity and clergy—across all levels of leadership within The United Methodist Church.
This report presents gender and ethnic demographic data of voting board members from reporting general agencies for the 2024–2028 quadrennium. It includes corresponding graphs that represent the current state of gender equity across agency boards and offers recommendations for further advancement throughout the Church.
GCSRW’s mission is to ensure that women have equitable access to leadership development, appointments, roles, and compensation. This report also serves as a reminder of the need to monitor every stage of ministry, from lay leadership in the local church to the candidacy process for licensed and ordained ministry.
We invite you to explore this data as a tool to broaden female representation and accountability throughout the worldwide Church.
