Modern Communication

As the communications agency for The United Methodist Church, United Methodist Communications seeks to increase awareness and visibility of the denomination in communities and nations throughout the world. United Methodist Communications also serves the denomination at all levels, including local churches, by offering services, tools, products and resources for communications ministry.


Because The United Methodist Church is a global church, United Methodist Communications actively serves and equips denominational leaders and members across the globe by providing content and resources in multiple languages and for specific populations, including English, French, Korean, Hispanic, and Native peoples. United Methodist Communications strives to engage people with the story of God’s work at all levels of the church, as well as those outside the church, by creating dynamic content targeted to the interests of distinct audiences:


Providing United Methodist leaders with resources for their ministry on, through e-newsletters (The Source MyCom and Communication Essentials) and social media channels (Facebook Twitter.) Church leaders also will discover helpful information on the social media channels for United Methodist Communications (Facebook Twitter Instagram).



Delivering the who, what, when, where, why and how of the latest happenings in the denomination. UM News delivers news in five languages, including English at, UM News Daily, Weekly Digest e-newsletters, and on social media (Facebook, Twitter). News also is delivered in French online, through La Porte enewsletter, at Facebook; in Spanish online, through UMCOMtigo enewsletter, and on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and TikTok); in Korean online, through Duru Allimi enewsletter, at Facebook. News also is delivered online in Portuguese.



Connecting United Methodists throughout the world with stories of global mission and ministry, along with faith-building resources on, the United Methodist Now and Giving Notes e-newsletter and social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat @unitedmethodist).



Offering a space for invitation and outreach for The United Methodist Church at, through Compass enewsletter and at social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).
