United Methodist Communications (UMCom) seeks to level the communications playing field around the world and help make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world through communications ministries. Central Conference Episcopal Communication Grants are a way for UMCom to live into its call to communicate all the good we can.

United Methodist Central Conference Communication Grants – Woman works with audio and production equipment

$15,000 In Available Communication Grants*

A limited number of grants of up to $15,000 are available to annual conferences outside the United States in the central conferences to help with projects related to communication, communication technology or communication training. To be eligible for funding, projects, programs or ministries must be authorized by the resident Bishop. Selected applicants may be granted partial amounts less than the amount originally requested. These grants are not available to individuals. Submissions are due no later than August 1, and awards will be made by December of the same calendar year. Annual conferences or episcopal areas may only receive one communications grant per review cycle. Multiple submissions within the same grant cycle will not be considered. Applications must be completed by the Bishop's Office or conference communicator and include a letter of support from the resident Bishop.

Completed applications and accompanying materials must be submitted via email to [email protected] no later than 22:00 GMT on August 1. Files should ideally be submitted in a PDF or Word format, but may be submitted as JPG, PNG or TXT files. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
